Sorry I didn't make it.......I REALLY am....
Story goes like this:
I worked my @$$ off trying to get it there......even took an additional day off to get the additional drop done.....Fri, Sun & Mon I worked on the
C-notch. Got it done. Ended up taking a total of 4.5" out of the frame, PLUS the bumpstop.....which brought the total to ~6.5" of additional suspension travel in the rear.....I worked on it ALL DAY on Thursday, from 9am to ~7pm NON-STOP! Got the front end done, New 3" Drop I-beams, bled my brakes, fixed the intermittent brake problem I was having, installed new U & L Balljoints, removed the F swaybar (might have caused interferrence) installed new 3" drop leafs in the rear....and re-installed my 3" blocks over those.....Rolled the rear fenders so I could PROPERLY tuck the tires like they're supposed to.
Then I started to run into OTHER issues.....
1) The gas tank is too 'long' and the axle
rubbed the filler tube , breaking it @ the worm clamp. Didn't find this until I was in Kent @ 1:30am (I live in Bremerton) went to fill up, and instead of going INTO my tank, the gas went UNDER my tank.....SOLUTION: Install a tank from a Sport.....it will push the neck towards the front of the vehicle and clear the axle by a LONG SHOT...
2) I didn't RE-
Tighten the lugnuts like I was supposed to, and traveling Southbound on SR 167, going about 65mph, @ 2am Friday morning/Thurs Evening, 4 out of 5 studs broke off, and I narrowly escaped wrecking one of my X's. I had to work on Friday @ 10am, but Schucks didn't open `til 9am....it's an hour drive home....We had my step daughter come pick us up, she didn't get there until 4:25. We got home @ 5:30, I slept `til 7:15, called my friend and he drove us BACK out to Kent to fix the X.....I didn't get to work until 11:50.
I'll have pics posted of said events.....it's been a busy week....
Did I mention I drove all the way to Spokane yesterday (I was PLANNNING on stopping by the show w/ the white X, on the way to Spokane) for a race that I was SUPPOSED to be in (and win)......but my skates broke just MINUTES before the start of the race, I couldn't compete. I was so upset, I ended up puching a box or something in the back of my (Green) X, and cut my hand, needing 3 stitches........And to top off my day, I had my cruise control set to 77mph in a 70mph zone, and I was clocked by 'aircraft' and they claimed I was going 82-84 mph......$132 speeding ticket in Ritzville! I think I'm just going to send them a check, because I'll spend that in GAS to go there to fight it......
So how did my week go:
1) Worked like a madman trying to get my X ready for the show, and subsiquent road trip
2) Broke down Friday morning
3) Back up and running Friday Morning
4) Only to drive it home and find that I can't drive it anywhere until said issues are resolved
5) Missed the show anyway
6) Drove all the way to Spokane only miss the race I was supposed to win (I already won 2 other MAJOR outdoor races in WA this year, and this race had the SAME competitors, with a MUCH smoother course)
7) Broke my $1,400 pair of Inline Speedskates
8) Cut my hand, ended up in the Emergency room
9) Got a $132 speeding ticket
I need a vacation..........wait a minute........I fly out on Tues Morning to California....taking the wife and daughter to Disneyland, and visit the King Tut Exhibit @ the LA County Museum......be back on LaborDay
Later,
Ryan
p.s. I'll post some pics of the damage to the X.....
