The kit is not listed for trucks built after 3/2003 because Ford upped the brake rotor size from 11.28" to 12" and repositioned the calipers. I have heard that the RCD kit will work on the 2003.5+ 4x4 Rangers only if the earlier 11.28" brakes are retrofitted. You should confirm that with RCD, though.
The kit also requires wheels with less backspacing than stock. Maximum backspacing allowed with the RCD kit is 4" but factory BS is 4.5".
The only thing they changed when they went to a bigger rotor was the spindle. I put an RCD kit on an 05 ranger and all I needed to get was a set of rotors. Unless they changed the brake caliper or something in 06 then it should work fine.
