SoI'm driving up north Friday night, and I hit Onaway on M-68, and the weather is getting crappy. So I slow up, and I'm cruising about 40, come up to a curve, and alas- in my lane, is a pair of headlights. Great. I can't go left, because there's snow piled up- I know if I go left I'll spin broadside into the front of the truck, so I go right instead- into the ditch, trying to thread the car through signs and stuff.

First thought was "miss the concrete drain"

Then, "since you're going to hit the driveway, get the car straight, and keep the wheel straight, we might make it through without much damage..."

Well, I jumped the SHO (quite fun, actually) and after calling my Dad to pull me out and clean some mud off the wheels, all was great. I can't find anything wrong aside from needing a couple of doors, a mirror, and some body work on the rear 1/4. :D

For your viewing pleasure... (I can't go 1/2 effort...)

***Note for the gratuitous use of the S-word once in the video- movie line!

It works fine, and dang man glad to see only ..minor damage (i guess you could say ;p)

I have my 97 taurus and i get jealous when i see the SHO's i never really was the biggest fan of the mid taurus body style (like ours) but i LOVE how the SHO's look, too bad theres not like a SHO kit for non SHO's haha, too bad I dont have 5$ for everytime i just said (SHO) :p

But i HATE THAT STATION WAGON in that ?? vacation movie haha, theres like 2 of every light!

2 of the same taillights on each side (flipped), and 2 of the same headlights and blinkers on each side!! arggggh! :p

wow man that looks bad. nice video. next time you should have the ex out in the snow instead of that poor sho that belongs in a nice warm garage.

x2!

That's some fine Youtube skills you have there. Sorry to hear about the bad luck though. Glad that you're OK.

Since you're alright...

That video is hilarious!! :D:thumbsup:

dang that sux bout ur sho

that blows about your SHO, but i gotta say, that video was pretty good the way you did it (sorry it was making me laugh, especially the tire marks in the daylight!) one question, where is the general lee?! :D

I was going to toss the General Lee in there, but I didn't have enough pics to make it work!

The SHO wasn't driven all winter, and I took it up north for the weekend because the Ex had a bad leak on the front diff Friday morning when I was leaving for work.

It (until now) only came out in the sun, not even rain, for the last 3 years of it's life. When I hit snow in Indian River, I was pissed, but eh- it's just a car. I'm starting to realign priorities anyway with a 4 year old running around now. Maybe that was someone in charge of the weather giving me a reminder of that! LOL! :)

finally watched it... awesome vid... but bad news man... proper gorgeous car... I love it... glad you're ok

Si

Couple of doors and some elbow grease- good as new... :)

I couldn't stop laughing at the "50 yards" clip from Vacation. Ha ha!
