Does anyone know if the 2008 Explorer XLT has a cabin air filter? I know I could look in the owners manual, but my wife has the truck (with the manual) and I was just curious as I replaced the one on my Mustang today. Thanks!

Do any 2008 Explorers have a cabin air filter?

Our 2008 Explorer is an Eddie Bauer. I don't see anything in the owner's guide to indicate that our car has a cabin air filter.

The 60,000 mi. maintenance guide on the MyFord website indicates that the cabin air filter should be replaced "if equipped". The maintenance guide booklet that came with our car includes the same language.

I just want to be sure I'm not overlooking something.

Thanks.

4th gen Explorers do not have a cabin air filter. That language is there in the booklets because they use the same booklet for several different models.
