Any Idea what this might be? Buddy of mine said it might be a stuck valve or rocker arm and to use an oil additive but that hasn't made a change.

And I'm talking about the tapping noise...the grumble is the Catback lol

Thanks

Can you narrow it down to a specific area on your engine block? And does the sound change with your RPM?

I would do an oil change and drop your pan when you do it. Check for any metal or debris in the pan then throw it back on with a new gasket. THEN do new oil and an additive to be sure it gets cleaned out really well.

It's in the bottom end and goes away when the RPM's go up. Truck idles at around 800, i would say the sound goes away at 1200 and above. Went outside and ran the truck for a few minutes hearing the sound the entire time. Shut it of and turned it back on 2min later and the sound did not come back until it dropped to the idle RPM's.

She's due for an oil change soon now so I'll do that this week, although I've had the noise for roughly 1-2 months.

If it's coming from the bottom front part of your engine try it out without your a/c on. It may be your compressor or clutch starting to go...
