'17 Overhead Console Removal

I'm looking for confirmation on how to drop the overhead console housing on my '17, I'm looking for a very clean install of my radar detector and want to tap in to either mirror or moon roof circuitry. I'm assuming it's help in by clips and to just pull it down?

Just insert fingers along the outside edges and pull it down.

Thanks 1995E, just what I suspected.

Peter, I have yet my mirror doesn't have the housing like the one in the vid & mirror tap pins are too big to tap into mirror plug.

I just pulled down my overhead console. It's tough on the fingertips but it does come down easily.

Now to figure out what's hot when.

I need 2 switched and one always-on.

I think the best tool for that is a multimeter.

I was hoping someone knew what each of these wires was.
