my brother bought the 1992 Passat from me with the problem it's having.....
I sold it to him cvause he loves german cars, I'm a Ford or Saab person.
his car is having problems running, we know it's related to fuel, and after his idea to replace everything fuel related was shot down after discovering it would cost over $1000.....we hope some help can be brought from here.
The fuel pump works......it gets spark.....but doesnt start.
we got it running on Ether.....and holding idle and revving on it as well.....but as soon as he let off the ether it died.......
I would guess FPR (fuel pressure regulator) but i am starting to wonder if it is the injectors.....although my primary reason I am guessing FPR is because after you prime the motor a few times with the Fuel pum,p it will start but dies out almost immediatly.
Please help?
