1997 ford rear bumper

Hi,
Recently was rear ended in my much loved 97 explorer. The only thing left to replace is the rear bumper. I found a rear bumper for sale off of a 1999 ford explorer. Will it fit?

It will fit physically but the license plate mount will differ cause of the fact the 98-01 had the license plate on the hatch.. You can use a 95-97 Explorer rear bumper and a 91-94 bumper, color matching may be an issue though.

Brooklyn...I was so excited to see the Hollander link in your profile! I downloaded it...but I'm not sure what I got. I'm pretty sure it's not the Hollander. The file name says it is, but all it has is a bunch of GM production codes. Am I missing the boat here?

This link is provided by another member of this forum, so I could only go by what he told me. He claims that it's the manual. If somebody has the printed version, maybe they could tell me otherwise.
