2000 xlt camshaft position sensor

Hi, 2000 Expl xlt
I have had this chirping sound for about 2 weeks, sounded like it was coming from right rear of engine.
Today I got a 340 code--Camshaft Position Sensor Malfunction--
The engine is a 4.0 EFI , I'm thinking this is the push rod engine
Haynes says the sensor is at the rear of the engine where the distrubitor should have been.
I know what it's supposed to look like but I'll be damned if I can find it
Does anyone know exactly where it is?
I've read all the posts on this but it didn't help

Did you find it ? I've got an EFI too and I can find the camshaft sensor

I've had mine out on my 99 ranger. Its in the rear center of the engine and no you can't see it...maybe with a mirror. We were just talking about this on RF Here's the link.
