2005: Removing A-Pillar Trim

I'm planning to hard-mount my radar detector next to the rearview mirror, wired so that it comes on automatically with my key.

However, I cannot figure out how to remove the A-pillar trim to let me get in there to run the wires ... can someone point me in the right direction? Search got me nowhere, and I don't have any kind of manual for the truck.

Never mind ... just needs a good yank after taking off the weatherstripping around the door frame.

you might find a harness in the overhead. I haven't look on the Ex. but i always found one up there that was ACC. Before i have been able to mount mine on the review mirror with Velcro but on my Ex i have that compass and autodimming mirror i could find a spot. I just stick mine on the dash next to the A pillar. What Radar Detector do you have? I got the passport 8500. I'd like to see a pic of your solution. . . .
