95 X has hard time shifting into 2nd gear

My 95 has a hard time shifting into 2nd gear, you have to bring the rpms up quite a bit for it to shift, and eventually it will go into 2nd, someone told me it was the modulator valve, i cant find it, who knows if it is even the problem, no codes are being thrown, what do you guys think?

The 95 4R55E doesn't have a modulator. Adjust your intermediate band.

ok stupid question which is the intermittent band and which is the OD?

The band next to the bell housing is the overdrive band. The middle band is the intermediate band.

well i finally got around to checking the band out and i guess the band is broke b/c i couldnt tourqe it down it threaded all the way in before it began to have any torque.

It sounded like it was a band issue. You have to open the transmission to replace the bands. You might as well rebuild it at this point.

I wonder if this is caused by neglecting band adjustments.
