So my $500 Toy has gotten much attention since my first Post a short time ago.
It ran rich, idled rough, rode rough, and rattled horribly when I got her but no Check Engine Light warnings.
I put Edelbrock IAS Shocks all around
flushed the cooling system
replaced the Plugs (Autolite Iridium), and wires/coil pack (both Motorcraft)
found a hole where a bolt should be on the front dust/debris cover on the front bottom end of the tranny (University Mazda says they don't know what size the bolt is, I suggested they look at an exploded diagram to get the part number, they suggested I go to a Ford Dealer.......wow), bolt will fix Horrible Rattle when I find out what size/depth/thread to use.....
replaced 2 Vacuum lines
flushed the crankcase (Mobile 1 Full Synthetic 5-30 Extended Performance)
flushed the Manual transmission, Transfer Case, and Power steering replacing all with Mobile 1 Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF
Took apart the intake system from the air filter (replaced) to the TB
cleaned the MAF Sensor, cleaned the IA Temp Sensor, cleaned the IAC Valve and Throttle body, cleaned the PCV valve.
Its running Rich and still idling (Much Much smoother now!) over 1100rpm's with the IAC plugged in at normal operating temp, but unplug the IAC and idle drops to 550rpm still smooth?
I'm not seeing any other messed up vacuum lines or hearing any other vacuum leaks
Any ideas on what else to look at to get the idle down?
Again no Check Engine or codes thrown........
