Installed new compressor and orifice tube in 2006

Known current a/c issues are that the front passenger side blend door actuator is broken. Heater hoses are disconnected to the heater core to offset the extra summer heat from the stuck vent. Been this way for the last 3 summers. Stays this way during the winter. Usually not cold enough in Houston to need heat. Heated seats compensate this.

Blows VERY cold every summer with no issues.

HOWEVER; this is the 3rd winter that the high side pop off valve has blown when running in the front defrost/defog position. The compressor comes on automatically in this position. I have to change the valve every year before the summer demand. Last summer I also changed the high side cut off switch which is near the high side port, thinking maybe it was the culprit and not shutting off the compressor before blowing the valve. But it blew anyway.

Any ideas are welcomed.
