As the title suggests, when i start my ex when its cold i get a nice grinding noise that seems to come from the ac pump. I have done some searching around havnt really found anything about this. If anyone has any idea what it is or what i have to do that would be greatly appreciated. When the truck is warm it doesn't happen.

Thanks

DOes it make a difference if the AC clutch is engaged?

To be honest i dont even know what/where the ac clutch is?

The AC clutch is the pulley on the front of the AC compressor. When you turn the AC on, the clutch will engage and the inside of the pulley will turn as well. If the grinding noise varies depending whether the AC is on or not, then your noise is AC related.
