I have a flashing air bag light. Is there some kind of decoding list, according to the flashes, available?

Should have mentioned......it flashes 5 times, followed by a pause, then a single flash.

Thanks.

Check this sticky thread on repairing the SRS module: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=405440. It has information about code # 51. Sometimes there's an intermittent short which causes the thermal fuse to blow. The new thermal fuse will blow if this intermittent short isn't repaired.

Thanks, I saw that but I was hoping someone would have a list of what the number of flashes meant before I go tearing into something.

BB......maybe I misunderstood/misread your reply.....your mention of the #51 error code.....are you using "51" as an example of does my flashing light of 5 flashes followed by 1 flash, mean code #51 ?
