2007 Ford Explorer EB
07 EB 6cd Audiophile system. Just bought this Explorer and unfortunately when I try to play my iPod or mp3 player, the radio does not seem to recognize the portable players. The indication I get is when in AUX mode (after toggling SAT1, SAT2, SAT3) is a message "dvd not loaded".

I read the Explorer owner's manual and it mentions that a "Line In" should be available when toggling the AUX button.

What am I doing wrong? (I checked all the obvious such as volume on portable players.)?

my aux

I'm trying to find out what kind of aux. input I need for my 2005 explorer and everything I have been looking at is around $60 and I don't see the need in that please help me figure this out

Make sure you're using the correct wiring and the iPod is compatible with the system. Newer iPods/iPhones with lightning cables may not work with it.

As for the aux on the 2005 explorer, it will require the $60 kit, or a new headunit. It's not that simple.
