brake light problem

I have a 1997 explorer and the passenger brake light and the third brake light on the hatch are not working. replaced the bulb and still doesn't work.

Your going to have to trace the wiring. First, take a meter and see if there's power there. Make sure to depress the peadal while doing it. A lot of people have problems where the trailer wiring splices.
