c4 transmission swap questions

i beening thinking about a 5.0 converison, but that seems like a lot of work and money :thumbdwn: ....so now im thinking about a c4 transmission and d20 transfar case swap , i just dont know to much about it, like mainly how much would it cost? would it hold up under 300hp? and how would i bolt it on to my 4.0?

Your 4.0L aint making 300 HP

Here are the basics:
C5 bellhousing bolts to the 4.0L V6 family of engines
The C5 bellhousing gets attached to a C4, or you rebuild the C5 with C4 parts (upgrades)

You will need hard to find parts, flywheel & bellhousing.
Your starter will change, wiring to be done, possible computer swap.
If you go Dana 20 there is more to it then that, driveshaft mods,

You need to search because this has been done and covered.

the nice thing is you can then someday put a 5.0L in front of the C4 by switching back to the 5.0L bolt pattern bellhousing, flywheel, etc.

A c4 can be built to handle 300 HP yes.

I like the Art Car reverse valve body mod for the C4, it makes it so you have to shift it and you start in 1-2-D pretty sweet IMO.

well i want to get a supercharger and maybe a 75 shot,

could i use my stock t-case? and the price? i was thinking it would be around $1500

basicly all i want is a trans that can hold around 300hp
