Hello, I have a 2004 ford explorer 4.6 v8 and I think something is wrong with my front differential case and I need to take the drive shaft off. I can't afford to fix it right now and wondering if I can drive without it for a couple months or so

You realize the differential will still be spinning even with the drive shaft removed. You'd have to remove both of the axles too if your differential is at risk of catastrophic failure.

The front differential? The one in the front with both front cv axels attached to it? I believe that is the proble.
