cat heat shield

could someone tell me what the cat heat shield on a 92 X looks like / where exactly it is? I think mine's loose!

it should be a sheet of metal that kinda clamps onto the sides of the cat or the pipes. Have you tried crawling under there and wiggling stuff?

easy fix

minutes after I wrote this post, I went under there and took another look, and it became obvious what it was (especially as the whole thing had cooled down enough for me to grab hold of and see what was loose). It was what I figured it was. What a great 1.5 minute fix! p.s. what the heck is on the exhaust line between the cat and the headers? It looks like a mini-muffler or something? Just curious.
