Hello, I recently installed a trailer brake controller in a 2002 Ford Explorer. Went out 1 day later and the battery is dead and the 60 amp PJB fuse is clicking? Any ideas what happened and why this is doing this? The brake controller was plug and play into the existing connector behind the glove box? Thanks

An already weak battery and or corroded wires/terminals can do this to you.

I fixed my brake switch again after 5 months, drove it for a day, then it was slow to start, then wouldn't crank at all. All kinds of relay clicking started when I couldn't crank it. I cleaned off all the corrosion from the posts and terminals; started right up.

Wally World battery with a 08/05 date code.
