dashboard/gauge lights

a few of the lights on my dashboard don't light up... the weird thing is.. when i had my alternator replaced a few weeks ago, one of the lights that had been previously off, came back on for a few hours.. then it stopped working again

i had just assumed the bulbs burnt out, but with that one coming back on, i was a bit confused...

but to my question, how hard is it to take apart the dash of a 95 explorer, and then to replace the bulbs..

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132058&highlight=white+face id say try that. it has the instructions with pics on taking out the dash. PS you will need 6 (id get 8 to be safe) 194/168 bulbs for replacement. best of luck

I can't help much with an answser, but i'm in the same boat. I need to replace a few dash lights, and also take the dash off completley to attack my heater box. I am curious as well, what it takes to take off the dash. Also, a have a light bulb burnt out in the crusie control on/off swich on the left side of the steering wheel, that seems like a fun one to change out, I havnen't attempted yet, but If i do, i'll let you know what I find out.
