I am thinking about ditching my K&N drop in air filter that i just bought 2 months ago and going to a KKM intake...what do you guys think?
is there any better gas milage increase with a KKM over a k&N drop in?
pros and cons of KKM???

help me decide guys.
thanks!
ryan

i just pitched the airbox and made a custom one with my conical k&N, in my opinion better than kkm because im not suckin in hot air

for the square airbox with the flat filter in the '92 it might be a better solution, but i just added a conical K&N to my '96 and drilled 7 2-1/4" holes in the airbox... a KKM would be a little cleaner, and have slightly more surface area, but i don't know it it will make a significant diference.

one of the members here posted that, when moving the intake air temp was only 10° warmer than the ambient temp... so i don't know how much diference a "cold air" intake will actually make.

however, the KKM does look "cooler", and that's gotta be worth a bunch of ponies! ;-)

I think you will be happy with the KKM.

When I installed mine, I immediately picked up 1-2 MPG.

Good luck....
