Engine never warms up

My truck used to always warm up to the "O" in "Normal" on the coolant temp sensor. A while ago it started never reaching the "N" but staying to the left of it. I figured I had a thermostat that was stuck opened. I replaced the thermostat last week. Same problem. I tested the old thermostat and it was functioning properly. Is my coolant temp sensor starting to go out? Are there any other reasons my truck wouldn't completely warm up? I'd rather have it cool than hot, but just like the 3 bears, in the middle is just right.

i would agree that the coolant temp sender is going bad for the gauge. it's a cheap fix.
