fuel tank filler hose removal? i need help

i am trying to remove the filler hose from the fuel tank and i cant seem to get it off.

is there a special tool i need to remove it? ive tried twisting turning and pulling and it wont budge.

Sounds like its time to break out the dy-no-mite! No really, the rubber sort of grows to the metal after a while and it can be a bear to get loose. They sell a tool to free up radiator hoses that looks like an awl bent into a u shape that lets you get under the lip of the hose and break it loose. Or you might be able to make something like it that is stiff enough to work.

If you can get at it, SLICE through the hose at a slight angle to straight-line, where it is stuck to the metal beneath. Yer gonna throw it asway anyhow, right? imp
