Just picked up a set of Ground Force lowering springs for my 02 Explorer....Heck of a deal too at $129 shipped to the door brand new.
But I have a question. Want to install them pretty soon here and I wondering if I need a coil spring compressor or not. From looking under the truck it looks as though I will need to remove the entire assembly so I'm assuming I will need a compressor. Also, what kind of life have you guys got from the stock shocks/struts? Thinking I might as well swap them out if I'm doing the springs and what would you recommend upgrading too. I had Bilsteins on my old ex and will not go that route again. Bilsteins made the ride just a bit too harsh, and every bump in the road was felt in the chasis. I'm thinking KYB GR2 or maybe gas adjust????? Any recommendations?
Thanks
