Has anyone tried to add a keyless entry pad to the passenger side or lift gate area?

I always leave my key in the car because of the number pad on the door. It's my exclusive method for locking/ unlocking.

But I also always try to go into the passenger side or lift gate and forget the vehicle is locked so I end up circling the car to unlock it and then back to the door I need to get into.

I've often considered pulling a couple number pads from the junk yard to install one on the passenger side and one on the lift glass area.

Has anyone else ever thought about doing this? Any luck?

Ford makes an add on keyless pad that you program as a fob. You can stick it wherever you want.

I know it says F-150 but it will work. I used to have a 2014 F-150 ikt key for my 02 explorer and everything worked like normal
