Hey folks, I've got a 2016 Limited with heated cooled seats. They're not working and I've found the connection under the main fuse box melted. So I've ordered a salvage fuse box and a new wiring connector with the intention of depinning and repinning the good wires and splicing the one that melted, solder, heat shrink and weather proof.
My question is this, I've seen on the F150s Ford had suggested adding another ground on the heated seat module to help prevent this from happening again but I can't find a lick of information on the Explorers to do the same.
Does one just fix this and chalk it up to bad luck or was there additional preventative measures I can do to keep this from occuring a second time? It's about $400.00 in parts and I'd really like to only do this once.
