Hello everyone

Hi everyone. Im new to this forum but not new to explorers or rangers. My name is josh been a mechanic since i could hold a wrench lol.
I found this explorer on CL for 1500. The transmission was out but fired right up managed to get in on the trailer under its own power and away we went.
I will be starting a build thread very soon and will be doing lots of work on this.

Yes it does. Plan on a 5-speed swap later on. Used to have a navajo and ranger 5 speed and loved them. Rebuilt the trans myself with a master tech over my shoulder. Worked for ford until recently.

It's one of the early first generation models. There are some members on this site with earlier production dates (only by a few months).
