Help!! Airbag light's gone nuts!!

I noticed last night that when I turn left the lights in the buttons on the steering wheel turn off.

I then went off road today (nothing strenuous) and I put the truck into 4x4 Low - at this point the airbag light started flashing then came on permanently..

Any ideas why it's done this??

watch out, thats usually a sign your airbag will pop soon. u dont want that thing blowing up when your driving down the freeway. get that thing fixed right away!!!

It might be the first sign of a bad clockspring. Do you have intermittent problems with the horn or cruise control?

I've just ordered a clockspring from fast parts network after something similar happened to me!

right the light flashes 3 times then 2 times before going thru the sequence a few times then the light stays on

and as if by magic... the light goes out... my truck is madder than a bottle of crisps!!!
