how do you remove ignition key cylinder w no key?

i lost my keys, i see how easy it is if you can turn it into the run position.but i dont have my keys, so how do i remove the cylinder? also when i put the new cylinder in, where do i take the key to get programmed?

You have to drill out the tumbler so that you can turn the key to unlock the column, then you can push in on the release button to slide the ignition assembly out of the column. Any halfway-experienced locksmith can have the whole setup out and back together in about 15 minutes.

To do it yourself? You'd have to know exactly where to drill and what size bit(s) to use. I can't be much help on that front though... sorry.
