How do you shut off the door chime on a '95 Explorer?

I have a 1995 Explorer and the door chime stays on with the keys in the ignition, does anyone know how to just shut off the door chime all together.

on my 98 sport there was a black and pink wire under the dash, even with the steering column, i cut the wire and it stopped, still chimes when lights are on and keys are left in ignition

Yep- or you can take the metal c clip that clips over the ignition tumbler and it will do the same thing- that's what I did, I have a fear of cutting wires...
