just wondering if i were to actually snag a 5.0L from a explorer, how stripped down could the engine get and still run. im having trouble finding stand alone ecm's.
If the engine is a 2000 or as late model as possible what components would be needed to run. Example how many things on the harness are used. I assume it would go something like, MAF, camshaft sensor?, ECU/ECM what else in the sensor area, 02 sensors in the headers?
Also what type of fuel system does my sport use? Is it the same style, return or returnless as odbII 5.0's?
Also wondering what it would take to adapt to a borg warner T-56 transmission, as its a downgrade to go from the 5 speed auto to a 5 speed manual.
