HEY GUYS, I'M NEW TO THIS PLACE SO I'LL TRY MY BEST TO MAKE THIS A GOOD THREAD, GOT MY 2000 EXPLORER FOR FREE FROM MY SISTER WHICH WAS COOL, SO I DROPPED A REBUILT 4.0 AND FIGURED I'D MAKE THIS MY PROJECT RIDE, ONLY COOL UPGRADE I'VE DONE SO FAR IS THE AUDIO SYSTEM WITH A KENWOOD KDC-MP142 HEAD UNIT AND AND SINGLE 12" SUB BOX IN THE REAR WHICH HANDLES 1,000 WATTS RE AUDIO AND RE AUDIO 6X8'S ON THE DOORS FRONT AND BACK (4 DOOR) 1 800 WATT AMP FOR THE SUB AND 1 800 WATT AMP FOR THE HIGH'S, JUST ADDED YESTERDAY SOME SYLVANIA 9007 ULTRA WHITES JUST FOR NOW, NEXT MONTH I'LL BE RUNNING HID'S FOR THE FRONT AND HID'S FOR THE FOGS, NEW PAINT IN 2 MONTHS AND POSSIBLY UPGRADING THE AUDIO TO A 6,000 WATT SYSTEM AND A 3" DROP FRONT AND REAR, SO MUCH MORE TO ADD TO THIS THREAD ON WHAT I'M GUNNA DO, BUT ALL IN GOOD TIME, ALL COMMENTS WELCOMED, THANKS FOR CHECKING THIS OUT.

I found these pics online and looked them over and this is basically what my audio upgrade will look like 6,000 watts.

The 2 top amps 1 each to power the subs the bottom amp to power the highs.This will be what it will look like except i'll have 3 lighted vu meters installed.

Just some example pics of what the engine intake will look like, talked with cybergasm last night before he went back on the road and told me that most auto parts stores carry these filter kits instead of paying a grip for the whole unit.

Well finally i got this s.o.b. in,lol, after a few mods it's in and runs better now noticed the difference.Here's some pics.

went to pep boys got everything under $40

had to drill out the holes a bit bigger so the body could fit.

Yes sir, pep boys, for my 2000, it was a spectre performance filter part #8138 works with 3",3 1/2", and 4" systems,,,,,,what's cool about it it has 3 rubber adapters in the filter for the adapter. The adapter is a spectre 3" sensor adapter part #81413 also from pep boys, also had to buy the proper screws and washers and nuts for the proper fit, hope that helped out

Thanks, well, much faster off the line, and faster passing up people while driving,lollllllllllll, also have'nt really checked on saving fuel miliage but will test tomarro, also noticed at idle much smoother than before=but i can only speak for my ride cause i know it needs a tune up very soon, but i did notice a smoother difference at idle, oh btw it sounds much deeper and just has this killer sound to it, if that makes any sence,lol, and i have'nt even installed the flowmaster yet, wooooohooooo

I have the same filter on mine except I ground down the MAF housing from square to round. I am cheap like that. I did not notice any real difference other than the noise from the intake and exhaust increased.

The under hood noise does sound cool.
