hydraulic winch kits!!??

I recently discovered that mile marker makes kit that taps into you power steering pump and its compatable with warn,ramsey,mile marker.... to run a hydraulic winches....the only draw of the battery is to hold open the winch selinoid.. thw only down fall is if the engine dies...so does ur winch. opinions and comment wanted.

hydraulic winches and PTO winches are only useful in tow trucks not on an offroad vehicle. IMO IF you are in the mud or water and your engine dies you are screwed. An electric on a dedicated battery (large optima yellow) will keep you going longer than the others.
