Planning to install a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller on my 98 XLT which has the towing package. Does anyone know if the tow package on the 98s included a receptacle under the dash to plug a brake controller into? If so any idea where it is?

Thanks,

Mark

I have a 97, and I installed a Tekonsha brake controller in mine. There is no hookup under the dash, I had to run the wires from outside to inside the truck. Mine has the trailer tow prep, which means that the trailer light circuits are prewired, but no connections for the brake controller.

I don't know if they might have added that for 98, but I doubt it.

Ditto for my '99.
