Owner of a 92 Sport 4x4 w/ 43,000 original miles. It now needs a new 5speed tranny. My question, among others, is 'Will a tranny from a 92 XLT w/electric transfer case fit my 92 Sport with manual shift trans case?'

Need to know.

92 will work but the 93+ is stronger internally, then again in 95 I believe, there are lots of these units in Colorado thats for sure

Yes. It was a lease vehicle from Ford and bought it just last year from the guy who had purchased it after the lease was satisfied. It sat for several years...had a 2001 tag on it. Engine is sweet and interior like new. Paid $650. for it. YEAH BABY!
