Ok, I have jacked up so many vehicles its ridiculous. However, I have never ever seen a jack that is "U" shaped like my stock ford explorer one.
Now, the jack is dead. My regular low profile hydralic jacks, do not reach the frame (I bought them for my chevy aveo).
I found a very nice looking 12 ton Heavy Duty Industrial hydralic jack.
Heres the problem:
ALL bottle jacks are for the most part smooth on the top, but NONE of them are "U" shaped. Where Can I safely jack up my Explorer with a bottle jack? The user manual and Haynes manual both reccomend jacking on the axle, which is round! That doesnt seem too safe to me.
Thanks,
DJ
