Key Fob Replacement - What are my options?

..As for the idea of programming more than one car on a fob, I assume each car has a different set of keys. Maybe you got all them on one keyring and makes it convenient, but doesn't that guarantee theives easy pickens when you unlock all the cars at once but only drive away in one?

If they happen to be parked outside (I have a good sized garage), I use the fob to lock all the others once I'm in the one I'm driving. Besides..where I live It's very unlikely someone will be by to steal one of the cars.

What do the dealerships charge for new remotes?

My Mustang's 4 button remote broke at the loop where the key ring attaches. It works fine but the key is no longer attached. I would also like to pick-up a spare 3 button for my Explorer.

They are going for $15-$20 on ebay (forum sponsor link). I highly doubt the dealership will beat that. Match up the FCC id on the back of the original and it should be good.

Having a '99 model you should have no trouble finding a reasonably priced fob. Here is my reference list.
