I have a 2006 Explorer XLT with the odometer/message center all in one. I ran low on fuel until the low fuel message came on and when I refuelled it stayed on. I tried pushing the button several times to get back to the odometer reading and it went blank and has stayed that way. I'm wondering if there is a relay that controls this display that may be defective?
