Midwest winters

I don't know if this would possibly belong under the whoops section, but my neighbor got her Escort stuck in the snow, not nearly as bad as my Explorer was, but it's just a little off the road. I haven't yet tried pushing it out myself, but if it comes down to it, what would be the best way to help her get her car out with my Explorer? I figure since I haven't had time to fix my shifter yet so I can't turn off O/D I'd just use a low range gear like 1 or 2 and hook her up to my rear bumper or maybe just find a nice spot on the frame back there and try to pull her out a bit. I don't have a tow package yet either, still working on getting the cash for all these mods. Another option I can think of right now is either borrowing one of my parents vehicles or calling my brother with his 95 Dakota to try to pull her out. Any ideas just let me know. Thanks.

either should work, your bumper or your your frame, althought if it is stuck bad enough you are running the possibility of bending your bumper a bit. your best bet would be to hook it up to a drop hitch. I have pulled a few vehicles out with my X, most of the time I hook the chain up to the frame

thanks for the tip. Like I said I'm not quite sure how stuck she is yet, so once I find out will be the determining moment. But now I know. Thanks again.
