New to Group, '02 Explorer

Well after 15 years of driving various Jeep Cherokees, I have just purchased a 2002 Explorer XLT, 4x4, V6, 27K miles ($13600, former company car).

I was somewhat active in the Jeep enthusiast forums, helping out with problems and the like. I hope I can do the same here.

One question: In the jeep forums, we called the vehicles by their corporate code name (for example XJ for Cherokee, KJ for Liberty, WJ for Grand Cherokee, TJ for Wranglers), is there a corporate code name for the Explorers, Rangers, Explorer Sports etc.?

We typically reference them by the years they were built, 91-94 Generation I, 95-2001 Gen. II, 2002-2005 Gen. III, 2006- Gen IV. We also like to use body styles.
