oil change

Exactly. :)

When I picked up my new Ex, the PO had included a Fram filter in the box-o-stuff. I had some bolts to save, and had nowhere to put them. So, I did what any self-respecting owner would- I opened the filter box, chucked the Fram filter, put the bolts in the Fram box, and went on my merry way. :)

AMEN! i lost a motor in a buick due to a fram:exp:

Yep that's where I learned mine.... He (my dad) does his maintenance tracking (gas oil plugs etc) on almost a spreadsheet you could go back several years with his.

Thats funny he does the same thing (spreadsheet) with his 99 VW diesel Jetta he bought new. He has a lifetime average of 51 mpg with that car, with a best tank of 60. He also knows exactly how much fuel it has used and the cost to the penny over the life of the car.

I have to admit. Changing the oil on my 93 Explorer is the easiest vehicle I've ever done. No Jacks, Filter and plug easy access. I probably change too much. But once the engine is dirty. well, I don't want to go there. Seen too many neglected ones.
