I've come to the conclusion that since Im new to this, it may be a good idea to start relatively low key... although I have more or less decided to keep my 17's ('03 stocks) for now... Ive found many used 265/70 R17 tires on ebay (which measure in at around 31.6"-31.9" depending on manufacturer) After getting 2" wheel adapters to correct my offset, and give me apx. 5/8" of an inch more than stock to work with, these tires couples with a tt and shackle lift to start should theoreticaly work well right?
I would really like to keep these wheels, but im a bit leary about wheel adapaters.. certainly I would be sure to get quality ones... and mainly the plan is for the adapters to correct the difference to bring it back to a little slightly more than stock.... Is this a good plan to get started?
