Problem with Replacing blend door actuator on 98 Explorer

Okay well what a lot of people
Miss is that with the eatc once it sees a problem with the blend door actuator it stores a trouble code and quits trying to move the motor.
So you install a new one and it still does not work, you have to do a system reset on the eatc
There are tons of videos on this

Also I will buy a dorman blend door actuator and take it apart,
Remove the little nylon gear and install it into the Ford part. Put the ford part back in the truck. Most times it is a stripped gear

The screws are nothing special they are just about 3/4” long plastic screws like a drywall screw they have a 5mm or 7 or 8mm head so you can turn them back there in that tight soace

I usually only re install two screws leaving the third one out
