Ranger leaf spring hangers & shackles on explorer?

Is the rear frame of a ranger/explorer the same? I have a 91 4-door. And I want to do a SOA without gaining 5-6" of lift. Could I steal the spring hanger and shackle assembly from a ranger and move my springs to the outside of the frame so as to do a SOA and gain little to no lift?

What's the point of going SOA if you don't want the lift?

SOA will flex more. I've thought of moving my springs outboard, then I could build in whatever lift I wanted, have awesome flex to boot. Maybe I will someday....

Because I want the added ground clearance of having my shocks and springs up out of the way, and flexability. I plan on using jeep springs in the front which will give me 3-4" lift. So I want to SOA the rear axle with ranger parts, then use Deaver leaves and my WAR shackles if the rear needs to be a bit higher.

I was just curious if anyone had tried it, or knew for a fact that it wouldn't line up, etc.
