R

rocky

i have a 94 xlt with a 3"body lit and skyjackers 2" suspension lift. after putting the new leafs in the rear sits quite a bit higher than the front. anyway i can raise the front about 2 more inches by the way it is a 2WHEEL DRIVE. my explorer is strictly for riding around town looking good. any help would be great. oh yeah i put the 2"taller coil springs in the front.helpppppppp.

rocky,

As I have a '96 Explorer, I don't have a lift yet, but have been reading much about them. As I understand it, you should give the new rear a couple weeks to "settle" before you try to even the ride height. They should settle in and sag an inch or so as the springs compress. After a couple weeks you can just torque up your front torsion bars an inch to even it out.

If the problem persists after settling, you can add up to 2 1/4 in coil spacers up front. Though you'll have to realign the front end again.
