Yes ebay is the best place to find them. You want to get ones that are SMT, like the ones shortstack showed you.

I decided to drill into the Plastic supports and see how it would look, And it turned out awesome! They are resessed in to the plastic, I would almost say they look Stock. Here's a Picture of them being installed.

Thank you Mustang for this extremely cool idea. I tried to convince my wife to let me do it to her Escort but she doesn't want me to drill holes in her car. :( Oh well, I may add some rear ones eventaully.

Great work. Out of curiosity how did you drill the holes on the rack? I used a drill press with a vise and still had issues with the drill bit wandering on the curved surface. Did you run into the same thing? Yours look like the spacing is dead on.

Yes, But probably worst. I just used my Hand drill. It has the Extra handle just before the Chuck so that helped steady it alot. I held it between my legs and just went really slow. I wish I coudl have had a Drill Press. The sides were even more tricky, I had fun with those. But I measured everything out (3/4 of an in. Spacing). Also, I didn't cut the holes in the bottom for acces, I just pulled out the Rubber part and put the LED's in through the front then Siliconed them Like crazy. It was a Neet little Project.

Nice job Scott  Are you going to do the rear as well?

that looks real good, better "spacing" then mine :) just be careful while driving with those on because it illegal to have red lights in the front :D looks awesome though

I'm sure they are amber and not red. When I take pictures of my lights they look red also. I think it has something to do with your eye seeing the yellow parking lights and the amber on the top. I have only gotten pulled over for a cop thinking they are red once.

Thanks for the Comments guys.
SS, They are Amber. It says it right on the package. They are a darker color then the Parking lights but They look just like the ones we use on the busses at the Bus garage.
Derocha, Eventually I will be adding rear red ones. Just not sure when. Probably after Christmas.

when you cut the access holes for the LEDs so you could get your fingers inside the metal support, what did you cover the holes back up with....??? and it seems that some of the roof rack support brackets that slide up and down on the vehicle are different. from some of the pics i have noticed? any more pics and or ideas?

The temporary cover was just electrical tape, but I then filled the holes with bondo then sanded it smooth and painted it black

OH man! you are HARDCORE !!! You take everything to the next level and beyond!

Looks good

Hmm. I wonder how much the new Raptor/Superduty style LEDs are from Ford? "Rare" factory option, anyone? Seriously, though, very nice work. Makes me think about different mounts for some lights.
