Smashed liftgate window

Hey guys, so the other day i smashed my liftgate window, on my 2002 explorer, the glass above the applique.. but i need to replace it and i am having trouble finding one.. glass store wants 1300$ plus they have to paint the applique ... any ideas on where i may be able to find one.... any help would be great..

a recall was issued on the the 02's. I had mine replaced by the dealer. I just tried a quick search for all and came up empty. I'll give a go again and try a few more searches. good luck

Recall has been issued by FoMoCo. I got my Ex in February and haven't gone to the dealer to see if the recall is still valid but it is on my list. Maybe early next week. I know that doesn't help you now but maybe you can go the dealer and see if the recall is active before you start shelling out the Queen's cash. Just a thought.

the recall was on the hinges not the window but recall is old and if glass was not broken from hinges they will not replace it
