well, after reading several threads on it, i just did the tranny flush and fill procedure and, well... it didn't work *quite* like i expected but it *did* work without getting toooo much ATF in places it didn't belong.
shifts much, much better now. i plan on adding an extra tranny cooler, temp guage and probably a filter like Hank just installed in his Army Bauer... having the 3/8" hose conections will make things much easier than unbolting the factory plumbing from the radiator.
when i plumb in the extra cooler, guage and filter i'll switch to synthetic ATF.
